KESLEE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!
Keslee is so in love with ladybugs right now. Every time she picks up a bug and brings it to me she says "LaaadeeeBud." Most of the time she is right, but sometimes its a beetle, potato bug, etc.

We did a "Ladybug" birthday party for her and it was so much fun!!! She was even dressed up as our little "ladybug."

Here is a glimpse of what the party was decorated like. Mama went a little overboard according to Ben. Every time I saw something ladybug I had to get it. Keslee had such a fun birthday party so I think it was well worth it.

It all started with the Ladybug Birthday Invitations I made. They were perfect. . .At least I thought so.

The Party Hats. . .I was a little worried about making her Birthday cake. I saw a bunch of different ideas on the internet and kind of put them all together and this is what we got. I had it planned out in my head and it worked. I was so excited. I think it turned out pretty darn cute.

The cake plates turned out way cute too. A little bit of work but well worth it, and a great finishing touch to the table.

We also had a fun Ladybug Piniata. The kids were excited about the candy at first. . . I filled it with chocolate and it was all melted. . .OOPS!!!

A special THANKS to all of our dear family and friends who came and celebrated with us. You all helped make this a special day for our little bug. We love you !

Playing in the Snow

Keslee loves to be outside. All day long she bangs on the door and says bye, bye, bye. . . It was cold and snowing all day so when Dad got home she got to go outside and play for a little bit while he was shoveling. She looks so cute in her snow clothes, but by the time we get on her snow pants, her coat, hat, and gloves, she looks like Randy on the movie Christmas Story. Poor little stinker can hardly move, but doesn't seem to mind one bit.

RUB-A-DUB-DUB 2 POOPIE KIDS IN THE TUB

What a joy it is to have two babies in diapers. Sunday Jaden had an enormous blow-out up into his hair. So I took him straight into the bathroom to put him in the tub. It was Nasty!!!!! Little Mommy Keslee wanted to help and she kept leaning over the tub and I kept pushing her back. I wasn't fast enough and she fell in head first. She was soaking wet from head to bellybutton so we stripped her down so she could get in the tub to. While I was getting her wet clothes off I discovered that she also had a poopie diaper (thank goodness it wasn't a blow-out like Jaden---but it was a poopie diaper). While all of this was going on Foxy, our dog, thought she too needed to follow her siblings examples, thankfully she did her duty outside like a good dog. Now daddy gets to clean up her poop.

So these are our pictures of Rub-a-dub-dub 2 poopie Kids in the Tub

Princess Keslee

My dear sweet sister-in-law Alex took these photos of Keslee about a month ago while we were doing a maternity photo shoot. They are so stinking cute and capture Keslee's personality so well. She is such a joy and I love her so much, but as you can tell from the pictures it's her way and she is the princess of the family.

Thanks Alex for such precious pictures. I love them!!!

Our growing family

What a week this has been. It all started Monday February 9th, when we took little Keslee to the doctor because she was really sick. She had a fever that medication was not breaking and a horrible cough. I told the doctor that there was a possibility that we could be having a baby anytime according to my OB and he said that if that was the case we had to keep Keslee and the baby separated until she got better.

That's where it all started. I had been having contractions all day, but thought nothing of it and then Keslee woke up at about 12:30 am and so I got up with her. Nothing I did would calm her down- - -She just didn't feel good. I was having pretty hard contractions at this point and they were starting to hurt a little. Ben woke up and came and got Keslee and finally got her back to sleep. He came into our room to find me on the computer doing a google search to find out when you knew it was time to go to the hospital. My biggest fear was that we would go and find out it was a false alarm. My contractions were about 5 minutes apart and really hurting so we called my mom to come sit with Keslee while we went to the hospital.

We left our house around 2:30 am and by the time we got registered and up to labor and delivery it was close to 3:00 am. The nurse checked me and said I was dilated to an 8. They hurried and called my doctor and the anesthesiologist. When the anesthesiologist got there I was a large 8 so there was no time for an epidural, so I got a spinal block and then Dr. Hurst got there and I was dilated to a 9 and Jaden was born February 10 at 4:46 am weighing 5 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 inches long. Ben was excited that it went so fast. He thought we would be up all night waiting.

Keslee seeing her baby brother for the first time. She didn't really know what was going on and I don't know if she even realized he was there.

Thank goodness we have two wonderful mothers. Keslee has been passed from grandma to grandma trying to get better this past week and finally came home to meet her baby brother on Monday February 16. It's been great, exhausting, and quite the adventure having her home the last couple of days. She is very curious about this new little guy in the house and wants to hold him by her self. I can't take my eyes off her for a second unless he is behind a closed door. Somehow though it's been a lot of fun for me to watch her with him and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Jaden almost a week old and his big sister is finally able to come home and get to know him.

Keslee is very curious and wants to be part of all the action.
